Lift

Lift is used for vertical transportation in the building. It is used in a building that has more than 3 stories. In the hospital, it is used for a two-story building also. Lift is also known as an elevator.

There are two types of elevator, the first is the hydraulic elevator and the second is the electric elevator. In tall buildings, electric elevators are used. For low-rise buildings, a hydraulic lift is used.

Escalator

An escalator is a moving staircase that carries a large number of people between floors of a building. It comprises a motor-driven chain of individually linked steps on a track that cycle on a pair of tracks that keep them horizontal. Escalators have a continuous operation without the need for operators.

Escalators are safe and secure as there is no chance of trapping on the way when the electricity cuts.
