What is Reinforced Cement Concrete (R.C.C)?

Reinforced Cement Concrete in short form called RCC. Most of the building structures are made of either steel or RCC. A normal building structure is made by RCC.

It is a very innovative material that resists both tensile forces as well as compressive force. Due to the huge load resisting capacity, it is widely used in the construction industry.

Reinforced Cement Concrete:

Reinforced Cement Concrete (R.C.C.) is a combination of Concrete and Reinforced bars. Concrete resists the compressive load while the reinforced bar is used to resist the tensile load. Simultaneously they resist both compressive and tensile load.

As we know concrete is good only to resist compressive load and very weak for tensile loading, on the other hand, steel is good for both tensile and compressive loading. A combination of steel and concrete works very well and resists all types of stress.

Difference Between R.C.C. and P.C.C.

P.C.C. stands for Plain Cement Concrete while R.C.C has extra material in the form of reinforcement.

Reinforcemnet Cement Concrete (R.C.C) = Plain Cement Concrete + Reinforcement.
